Common Name: New England Aster
A splendid compact bushy cultivar flaunting its remarkable dark purple, semi-double daisy like flowers with yellow cones above a mound of soft, dark green foliage in late summer through midfall. Butterflies and birds were amazed by its exceptional appearance. Grows at fast rate, reaching 24 inches high at maturity and spread 36 inches wide in compact, mound growth habit. Purple dome needs full sun exposure to cultivate well but tolerates partial shade. It prefers rich, moist, well-drained soil. A perfect choice for border, specimen and a great cut flower.
