It bears eye-catching vibrant red star-like flowers with green strap-shaped leaves. Bloom in late spring to late summer. Bloom twice and very profuse. Loved by hummingbirds and butterflies. It thrives in full sun but tolerates moderate shade. Prefers rich, moist, well-drained soil. Best use as border, container and ground cover.
