Common Name: Draconi Red Pine
Yellow banding pattern to the needle gives a 'Dragon's Eye' effect. Both the pruning it receives when young and maturing time increase the appearance of the dragon's eye. When the candles are pruned at its juvenile stage, this promotes more branch tips and accentuates the variegated effect. For a different look, 'Oculis draconis' can also be sheared into a pompom formation
