A fast growing herbaceous perennial showing off its vibrant reddish-purple flowers with delicate large dark green leaves. The striking flowers on black stems at about 25 inches tall stand out from early summer through late summer. Free flowering and highly attractive. It typically grows 24 inches high and spread 18 inches wide in dense, clump-forming growth habit. Easily grown in partial sun to full sun exposure in rich, moist, well-drained soil. An excellent choice for woodland gardens, beds and border. Deer resistant.
