Erianthus ravennae — commonly called Ravenna Grass or Hardy Pampas Grass — is a bold, upright ornamental grass valued for its dramatic height and late-season plumes. It forms a large clump of arching gray-green foliage that creates a fountain-like base through summer, followed in late summer to fall by tall, sturdy stems topped with large, silvery-white plumes that rise well above the foliage. These feathery plumes catch the light and sway in the breeze, adding strong vertical interest. Foliage turns golden tan in fall, and both stems and plumes persist into winter, providing structure and movement in the landscape.
