Acer platanoides ‘Superform’ is a strong, improved Norway maple selection valued for its exceptional structure, uniform growth, and reliability in large landscapes. It develops a dense, upright to broadly oval canopy with excellent branching strength and symmetry.

Foliage emerges medium to dark green in spring and summer, forming a thick shade canopy, then turns clear yellow in fall. Leaves are large and leathery, contributing to the tree’s durability and tolerance of challenging conditions. ‘Superform’ was selected for superior form, reduced structural issues, and consistent performance compared to standard Norway maple seedlings.

It is highly urban-tolerant, handling wind, pollution, heat, compacted soils, and road salt better than many shade trees.
