Acer platanoides ‘Deborah’ is a distinctive Norway maple selected for its dramatic spring foliage color and durable landscape performance. Leaves emerge deep maroon to purplish-red in spring, gradually maturing to dark green in summer, then finishing with yellow to orange-yellow fall color.

The tree develops a broad, rounded crown with strong branching and a dense canopy, providing excellent shade. Compared to ‘Crimson King,’ ‘Deborah’ offers bold early-season color without maintaining dark foliage all summer, making it a softer fit in mixed landscapes.

It thrives in full sun to partial shade and adapts well to a wide range of soils, including clay and urban soils, provided drainage is adequate. ‘Deborah’ tolerates heat, wind, pollution, and road salt and is hardy in USDA Zones 4–7.
