Big Blue Lilyturf

Liriope muscari ‘Big Blue’ (Big Blue Lilyturf) is an evergreen, clump-forming perennial with arching, strap-like, glossy dark green foliage. In late summer, erect spikes of dense violet-purple flowers rise above the leaves, followed by blackish berries that can persist into winter. It spreads slowly by short stolons but is not considered as aggressive as Liriope spicata.

Care:
Cut back old foliage in late winter or early spring before new growth emerges. Water regularly during establishment, then only during extended dry periods. Best performance comes in well-drained soil with light shade, though it adapts to sunnier sites with adequate moisture.
