Lobelia × speciosa ‘Compliment Deep Red’ (Hybrid Cardinal Flower) is an upright, clump-forming perennial with narrow green foliage and strong vertical spikes of deep red to wine-red tubular flowers from midsummer into early fall. This hybrid strain was developed from L. cardinalis, L. siphilitica, and L. fulgens, and it is especially valued for its bold color, long bloom season, and appeal to hummingbirds.
