Lysimachia punctata ‘Alexander’ (Variegated Yellow Loosestrife) is a variegated perennial with upright stems and green leaves edged in creamy white. Bright yellow, star-shaped flowers cluster along the upper stems in summer. It is grown as much for the foliage as for the bloom and can spread by rhizomes in favorable sites.
