Abies Nordmanniana 'Munsterland'

Munsterland Caucasian Fir

Abies nordmanniana ‘Munsterland’ is a compact, slow-growing selection of Nordmann fir with a dense, well-branched habit. It develops a neat pyramidal to broadly conical form, making it an excellent choice where a refined evergreen is desired without the size of the species.

The soft, glossy needles are deep dark green with lighter undersides, providing a lush, polished appearance year-round. Foliage is densely arranged, giving the plant strong structure and excellent texture.

‘Munsterland’ performs best in full sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soils. It prefers cooler climates and consistent moisture. Hardy in USDA Zones 4–7, this cultivar is well suited for specimen use, foundation plantings, mixed conifer beds, and high-end landscape designs, valued for its compact habit, rich foliage color, and clean, uniform growth.
