Leaves are broad and five-lobed, emerging fresh green in spring, holding deep green through summer, and turning clear yellow to yellow-orange in fall.

This cultivar develops a symmetrical oval to rounded canopy with a strong central leader and improved branch angles, offering better storm resistance than seedling Norway maples. Growth is moderate, producing a dense, orderly shade tree.

‘Ezestre’ thrives in full sun to partial shade and adapts well to a wide range of soils, including clay and compacted urban soils, provided drainage is adequate. It tolerates heat, wind, pollution, and road salt and is hardy in USDA Zones 4–7.
