Jon Jon Magnolia

Magnolia ‘Jon Jon’ (Jon Jon Magnolia) is a deciduous shrub or small tree with a vigorous, upright to broadly rounded habit. It produces exceptionally large, fragrant flowers that open later than many magnolias, helping reduce frost damage risk. The blooms are creamy white to pale blush with a rosy-purple flush at the base, and they often open from goblet-shaped buds to broad, nearly flat flowers in mid-spring.

Care:
Plant in a protected site with fertile, well-drained soil. Water regularly while establishing, and mulch to help keep roots cool and evenly moist. Prune only if needed just after flowering.
