This ornamental switch grass is one of the tallest switch grasses that grows at about 5-7 ft tall and 2-3 ft wide. This specie typically known for its narrow-erect clump-forming characteristic that bears metallic blue foliage which is topped in summer to late early winter by a finely-textured, yellow flower panicles that hover over the foliage like an airy cloud. This moderately-growing plant is best in clay, loam or sandy soil with full sun to partial shade environment.
