Hosta elata — a large species hosta valued for its broad medium-green leaves, vigorous upright growth, and strong architectural presence. The foliage is large, smooth to lightly textured, forming a substantial mound that gives a bold woodland effect. Tall flower scapes rise well above the foliage in midsummer, carrying pale lavender flowers that add height and seasonal interest.
