Magnolia ‘Vulcan’ is a deciduous flowering tree prized for its very large, goblet- to cup-and-saucer-shaped blooms in deep ruby red to cerise-pink, borne on bare branches before the leaves emerge. It has an upright, fairly narrow habit when young, becoming broader and more rounded with age, and it is especially valued for flowering at a relatively young age.
