Magnolia ‘Ann’ (Ann Magnolia) is a deciduous shrub or small tree with a compact, rounded habit, featuring medium green leaves and slightly fragrant, purple-red flowers that open in mid-spring. This late-blooming Little Girl magnolia is especially valued because it flowers a bit later than many magnolias, so blooms are less likely to be damaged by spring frosts. Flowers may also rebloom lightly in summer, and foliage turns yellow in fall.
