Hosta ‘Lakeside Black Satin’ — a medium perennial hosta with a dense, mounded form, valued for its very dark glossy green foliage that can appear nearly black in deep shade. The thick, heart-shaped leaves have a satiny sheen, pronounced veining, and strong substance, forming a dramatic clump with excellent contrast in shade gardens. Lavender flowers rise above the foliage in midsummer and attract hummingbirds.
