Magnolia ‘Peppermint Stick’ is a deciduous flowering tree with elegant, upright cup-shaped blooms that open white with a soft pink to violet blush, often deeper toward the base. The flowers are lightly fragrant, with upright inner tepals and outer tepals that reflex outward, giving the blooms a refined, two-tone look in spring. This cultivar is a Gresham hybrid from Magnolia liliiflora ‘Nigra’ × M. veitchii’, and it typically develops a small upright to broad-upright habit.
