Silver Ghost Lacebark Pine (Pinus bungeana ‘Silver Ghost’) is grown as much for its trunk as for its evergreen canopy. As the bark peels, patches of pale silver appear in a mottled pattern, gradually turning the lower part of the tree into a feature.

The plant grows upright and develops a tree-like framework. Where the bark is a priority, remove lower branches gradually as the tree develops so the trunk can be seen without abruptly stripping the young plant.

Choose a sunny position with soil that drains freely. Water during establishment and leave enough room for the branches to develop without crowding.
