Pinus Cembra Chalet

Chalet Swiss Stone Pine

Chalet Swiss Stone Pine (Pinus cembra ‘Chalet’) forms a slim upright tree with soft blue-green needles. The narrow outline brings height to the garden while using less ground space than a broadly spreading pine.

Its evergreen foliage makes it useful as a vertical accent beside lower shrubs or perennials. Allow the natural silhouette to remain visible so the combination of fine texture and upright form can carry the planting through winter.

Choose a sunny position with soil that drains freely. Water during establishment and leave enough room for the branches to develop without crowding.
