Pinus Par Gimborn's Ideal
Gimborn's Ideal Japanese White Pine
Gimborn’s Ideal Japanese White Pine (Pinus parviflora ‘Gimborn’s Ideal’) grows slowly into an upright tree with blue-green needles. Its outline can range from pyramidal to more columnar as the framework develops.
The cool foliage and vertical structure make it useful among lower, spreading evergreens. Allow space around the crown so its natural branching can be seen as the plant matures.
Choose a sunny position with soil that drains freely. Water during establishment and leave enough room for the branches to develop without crowding.
