Rhododendron Gallipoli

Deciduous Azalea, Exbury Hybrid Azalea, Gallipoli Azalea

Very classy, slightly ruffled crimson red flowers with light green foliage make this azalea a stand out. Delicate brownish-green stamens add beauty to this cultivar. Blooms in late spring and very showy. It normally grows 10 ft tall and spread by 6 ft and form an upright, spreading plant. Gallipoli azalea does well in full sun exposure but tolerates some shade. It prefers rich, moist, well-drained soil. Suitable selection for mass planting, specimen, foundation and mixed borders.
