Acer nipponicum (Nippon Maple) is a refined, lesser-known deciduous maple native to Japan, valued for its distinctive leaf shape, graceful habit, and excellent fall color. The leaves are typically three-lobed with a broad, rounded form, emerging fresh green in spring, remaining clean through summer, and turning brilliant shades of orange, red, and scarlet in autumn.
