Tucker's early purple is a compact, erect plant with grey-green leaves. It blooms an extremely scented violet blue flowers in early summer and rebloom in fall. It grows best in full sun and prefers loam or sandy soil. This herb is exceptional as a cut flower for the vase or as a dried flower by its dark flower buds and dark purple-blue flowers.
