Abies concolor ‘La Veta’ is a compact, dwarf selection of white fir with a dense, rounded to low-pyramidal habit. It features long, soft needles in a striking silvery blue-green color that holds well year-round. Slow growing and naturally well-branched, it requires little pruning and maintains an attractive form. ‘La Veta’ is valued for its manageable size, excellent foliage color, and improved heat and drought tolerance compared to many firs, making it a strong choice for specimen use, foundations, and mixed conifer plantings in USDA Zones 4–7.
