Tsumagaki Japanese Maple

Acer tsuma gaki is a rounded japanese maple that features dark red-tipped soft yellow green leaves in spring, turning green in summer and eventually change to red in fall. New leaves dangle from the petioles and mounting into a flat position as they aged. A fast growing hybrid that grows to 5 feet tall and 8 ft wide in vase-shaped form. It performs best in rich, moist, well-drained soil with some shade to direct heat of sunlight. It can be used as container and specimen.
