Hosta 'Fire Island' — a striking shade-loving perennial hosta prized for its brilliant golden foliage contrasted by vivid red leaf stems. Leaves emerge bright yellow in spring and gradually mature to chartreuse while the red petioles remain visible all season. The elongated, slightly rippled leaves form an upright mound, and lavender flowers rise above the foliage in midsummer, adding soft color to shady gardens.

Care:
Grow in partial to full shade with consistent moisture. Morning sun can intensify foliage color, but avoid strong afternoon sun. Apply mulch to retain soil moisture and suppress weeds. Remove old foliage in early spring before new growth emerges and monitor for slugs or snails.
