Nandina domestica ‘Monfar’, commonly sold as Sienna Sunrise®, is a compact evergreen to semi-evergreen shrub grown mainly for its vivid foliage color. New spring growth emerges intense red to reddish-orange, matures to green through summer, then regains red highlights in fall and winter. It has an upright, compact, mounding habit with fine-textured, bamboo-like foliage and may occasionally produce small white spring flowers, though it is primarily valued for foliage.

Care:
Plant in well-drained soil and water regularly during establishment. Prune selectively in late winter or early spring to remove older or damaged stems and maintain shape. Avoid heavy shearing so the plant keeps its natural layered, mounded form. Foliage may yellow in alkaline soils
