Fargesia dracocephala — commonly called Dragon Head Bamboo — is a hardy, non-invasive evergreen bamboo (grass) valued for its upright habit and lush, fine-textured foliage. It forms a dense clump of slender green canes with arching leaves that create a soft, graceful appearance. Unlike running bamboos, it grows in tight clumps, making it an excellent choice for screening without aggressive spread. It is one of the more cold-hardy bamboos suitable for cooler climates.
