Rudbeckia Fulgida 'Goldsturm'
Goldsturm Black-Eyed Susan, Orange Black-eyed Susan, Orange Coneflower
Goldsturm black-eyed Susan (Rudbeckia fulgida ‘Goldsturm’) produces bright yellow daisies around raised, dark brown centers. Upright stems lift the flowers above green foliage from summer into early fall.
Repeated in groups, it creates a strong band of warm color through a sunny border. The flowers also suit cutting, and the drying seed heads can be left standing to provide food for birds.
Grow in full sun or light shade with well-drained soil. Moderately fertile ground is sufficient; avoid excessive feeding, and water new plants until their roots are established.
