Woolly thyme is a flat rippled mat-forming perennial that grows 2-3 inches tall and 3 ft wide. It has woolly felted gray leaves which give an impressive appearance in the garden. A fine low maintenance variety. It rarely flowers. It performs well in partial shade to full shade conditions in any moist, rich, fertile soil with excellent drainage. A great addition in rock garden and excellent ground cover.
