Vernonia fasiculata is a robust cultivar that shows off its small, radiant clusters of rose-purple flowers on sturdy, unbranched stems above lance-shaped, coarsely-serrated dark green leaves. Blooms in late summer. Excellent for cutting. Very showy that attracts butterflies. Grows at moderate rate, reaching 4-6 ft tall in dense, upright growth habit. Easily grown in full sun exposure in a wide range of moist, rich, fertile, well-drained soil. Suitable for mixed borders, beds or containers.
