Large, brilliant, sweetly-scented violet flowers along the branches emerge in late spring to early summer. Pointy, dark green leaves have significant impact to this cultivar. Very attractive perennial. To prolong flowering time, remove deadheaded regularly. It normally grows 6-8 inches tall and spread 8-12 inches wide in clump-forming habit of growth. It needs full sun to partial sun for best growth. Prefers rich, moist, fertile soil with excellent drainage. Best choice for woodland garden as a groundcover, shady, borders, containers or edge.
