Southern Indica Azalea
The Indica hybrid azaleas are evergreen shrubs popular in southern U. S. gardens and noted for their relative sun and heat tolerance. The cultivar 'Mrs. G. G. Gerbing' bears large, showy, single white flowers on upright branches in spring. The leaves are small, oblong, and dark green. It prefers partial sun and moist, acidic soils. 'Mrs. G. G. Gerbing' is versatile in the landscape and can be naturalized in a woodland setting.
