Rhododendron Sunrise

Sunrise Ilam Hybrid Azalea

Dense clusters of ruffled, soft orange, funnel-shaped flowers adorn this deciduous azalea in mid- to late spring, before the foliage has fully emerged. This upright open shrub has elliptic mid-green leaves that color nicely in fall. It is one of many azaleas hybridized by Edgar Stead of Christchurch, New Zealand, using Knap Hill Hybrids and other azalea hybrids and species.
