Rhododendron The General
The General Rhododendron
Combining exceptional cold-hardiness and showy mid- to late-spring bloom, this Rhododendron catawbiense hybrid bears domed clusters of funnel-shaped crimson flowers with burgundy-speckled upper lobes. The large upright plants have long elliptic dark green leaves. It is one of many hardy rhododendrons raised by Anthony Shammarello of Euclid, Ohio.
