Rhododendron Coral Bell

Kurume Azalea

Coral Bells azalea (Rhododendron ‘Coral Bells’) is a compact Kurume selection with abundant pink spring flowers. Small gray-green leaves provide a fine-textured background and may develop reddish tones in winter.

It works well in a woodland-edge border or a container where its early flowers are easy to enjoy. The shrub can become wider with age, so leave space between young plants instead of crowding them for an immediate effect.

Grow in partial shade with acidic, humus-rich, moist, well-drained soil. Maintain moisture without waterlogging; this cultivar is particularly vulnerable to root rot in poorly drained sites.
