Weeping Bald Cypress
Falling Waters Bald Cypress (Taxodium distichum ‘Falling Waters’) develops a narrow, weeping form when its leader is supported. Bright green foliage hangs from the framework through spring and summer, then changes to yellow and orange in fall.
The foliage drops for winter, leaving the trained branches as a sculptural feature. Decide how much height is wanted before establishing the support, since staking strongly influences the final outline.
