Red Superba Barberry

A vigorous, fast growing deciduous shrub that grows 5-7 ft high and spread 6-8 ft wide. It displays broad, rounded, slightly oval-shaped dark burgundy purple leaves. Small clusters of white flowers appear from early April through the end of May. It bears showy bright red, oval shaped berries in late fall. It thrives best in full sun to partial shade in any moist, rich, fertile soil that drains well. Excellent selection fro borders, hedges, container and specimen.
