'Celebration' Maple

Acer × freemanii ‘Celebration’ is a vigorous Freeman maple selected for its excellent branch structure, uniform growth, and reliable fall color. A hybrid of red maple (Acer rubrum) and silver maple (Acer saccharinum), it combines fast growth with improved strength and form.

The canopy develops into a symmetrical oval to broadly pyramidal shape with a strong central leader and good wind resistance. Summer foliage is rich green, transitioning in fall to bright orange, red, and orange-red tones, often coloring evenly throughout the tree.

‘Celebration’ performs well in full sun to partial shade and adapts to a wide range of soils, including clay and periodically wet sites. It tolerates heat, urban conditions, and pollution, making it a dependable choice for streets and large landscapes. Hardy in USDA Zones 3–8.
