Epilobium canum — commonly called California Fuchsia — is a spreading, late-season perennial valued for its brilliant scarlet to orange-red tubular flowers that appear from mid-summer into fall. Narrow, gray-green foliage often has a silvery cast and forms a low, spreading to mounding habit, sometimes taking on muted tones in fall. Its drought tolerance and vivid color make it an excellent choice for dry gardens, slopes, and pollinator plantings.
