Sienna Glen Maple

Acer × freemanii ‘Sienna Glen’ is a strong, fast-growing Freeman maple selected for its excellent branch structure, uniform canopy, and dependable fall color. A hybrid of red maple (Acer rubrum) and silver maple (Acer saccharinum), it offers rapid growth without the weak wood typical of silver maple.

The tree develops a symmetrical oval to rounded crown with a strong central leader and good wind resistance. Summer foliage is medium to dark green, transitioning in fall to rich orange-red, brick red, and scarlet tones, often coloring evenly throughout the canopy.

‘Sienna Glen’ thrives in full sun to partial shade and adapts well to a wide range of soils, including clay and periodically moist sites. It tolerates heat, urban conditions, and pollution and is hardy in USDA Zones 3–8.
