Sonic Bloom Red weigela (Weigela florida ‘Verweig 6’) carries vivid red tubular flowers over green foliage. A strong spring flush is followed by waves of repeat bloom that can continue until frost.

The upright shrub adds sustained color to a sunny mixed border and attracts hummingbirds. Spent flowers do not need to be removed to trigger the later flowering cycles.

Grow in well-drained soil with regular establishment watering. Full sun supports the heaviest display, although light shade can be useful in hotter sites. Prune, if needed, immediately after the spring flush.
