" Parkway" Maple

Acer platanoides ‘Parkway’ is a durable Norway maple selected for its strong central leader, uniform branching, and excellent tolerance of urban conditions. Leaves are broad and five-lobed, emerging fresh green in spring, holding deep green through summer, and turning yellow to yellow-orange in fall.

This cultivar develops a symmetrical oval to rounded crown with improved branch angles, making it more resistant to storm damage than typical seedling Norway maples. Growth is moderate, producing a dependable, long-lived shade tree.

‘Parkway’ thrives in full sun to partial shade and adapts well to a wide range of soils, including clay and compacted urban sites, provided drainage is adequate. It tolerates heat, wind, pollution, and road salt and is hardy in USDA Zones 4–7.
