Phlox Subulata 'Emerald Pink'

Emerald Pink Creeping Phlox

Emerald Pink Creeping Phlox (Phlox subulata ‘Emerald Pink’) is a low evergreen perennial that turns a green mat into a sweep of pink in spring. Its small, fragrant flowers gather closely above the foliage, giving the planting a soft, colorful outline.

Fine, needlelike leaves keep the plant attractive after the flowers fade. Growth spreads along the ground, allowing it to fill shallow pockets between rocks or trail over the edge of a raised bed. Butterflies and hummingbirds visit the spring blooms.

Plant in full sun or light shade with well-drained soil. Water while roots become established; mature plants tolerate dry spells. Light trimming after flowering can refresh the foliage and keep the spreading edges within their allotted space.
