Picea omorika 'Nana'
Dwarf Serbian Spruce
Dwarf Serbian Spruce (Picea omorika ‘Nana’) has dark green needles with pale undersides that brighten the surface of the plant. The short, densely arranged branches give young specimens a rounded, compact outline.
With age, the plant develops a broader upright crown and becomes a substantial pyramidal conifer. The two-tone foliage adds depth to mixed evergreen plantings. Allow room for that later height rather than treating a young rounded plant as permanently small.
Plant in sun with moist, well-drained soil. A cool site sheltered from drying winds helps keep the foliage in good condition.
