Picea orientalis 'Gowdy'

Gowdy Oriental Sprunce

Gowdy Oriental Spruce (Picea orientalis ‘Gowdy’) carries very short, glossy green needles close to its stems. This fine foliage texture leaves the sweeping structure of the branches easy to appreciate.

The tree develops a broad upright framework and becomes a substantial landscape specimen. Curving branches give the outline a more flowing appearance than a rigidly clipped evergreen. Plant it where both the branching pattern and its rich green color have room to show.

Use a well-drained site and water during establishment. Protect young plants from drying winter winds and excessive summer heat.
