Mrs. Cesarini Blue Spruce
Mrs. Cesarini Colorado Spruce (Picea pungens ‘Mrs. Cesarini’) forms a low, flattened mound with dense branching. Shiny green needles and clusters of lighter new growth create a textured surface, offering a different color effect from the familiar blue forms of Colorado spruce.
The compact shape works well beside stones or near the front of a mixed conifer planting. Its numerous buds and short shoots reward close viewing. Allow the mound to spread naturally so the layered texture remains visible.
Plant in sun with well-drained soil and water during establishment. Cool, relatively dry climates suit Colorado spruce better than hot, humid summers.
