Picea pungens 'Sester Dwarf'
Sester Dwarf Blue Spruce
Sester Dwarf Colorado Blue Spruce (Picea pungens ‘Sester Dwarf’) gives a smaller planting the blue needles and conical outline associated with a full-size Colorado spruce. Dense branches keep the crown compact and clearly defined.
Its slower growth makes the tree easier to place in a modest garden, although it continues to enlarge with age. The natural shape generally needs little intervention. Use it as an individual evergreen accent with enough open space to display the whole crown.
Plant in sun with well-drained soil and water during establishment. Cool, relatively dry climates suit Colorado spruce better than hot, humid summers.
